Welcome to the area information section for Oak Park, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Malibu and surrounding Ventura County areas. When considering what home to buy, the community can be as important a consideration as the real estate itself. This section should help you learn more about our beautiful community and all it has to offer:
Living in the
Conejo Valley you soon discover the area is a blend of communites that straddle the 101. From
Agoura Hills and
Oak Park, to Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park, we're all part of one great big small town-feeling kind of place.
The area is home to some notable
golf courses including some gorgeous private courses both at the
Lake Sherwood Country Club and the
North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village. There is a fine public course at
Los Robles in Thousand Oaks, the family-friendly golf course at
Lake Lindero.
We have an abundance of open spaces, tons of opportunities for recreational activitivities from hiking to swimming and everything in between. Don't miss the serene
Gardens of the World just across from the
Countrywide Performing Arts Center at the Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks. They have a terrific series of jazz concerts in the summertime. Community gardeners can lend a hand at the
Conejo Botanic Gardens just off Gainsborough between Lynn & Moorpark. Oak Park gardeners can make a difference at the
Oak Park Community Gardens on Kanan. Oak Park, Agoura Hills and Westlake Village are all especially close to Kanan and a quick drive over the Santa Monica Mountains to the beautiful beaches of Malibu, still commuter close to
L.A.,and not too far from the casual elegance of
Santa Barbara.
Our restaurants are first rate too, from
Padri in Agoura to n the
Simi Valley Town Center (check out their brand new Westlake Village location) plus a ton in between. Check out the
Conejo Valley Dining Guide for a fairly comprehensive list plus the pages of 805 Living magazine where you'll find a guide to many of the communities top restaurant choices;
P6,
Chapter 8 and the newest from the Finefrock family, Suki 7,
